Two Peas Tuesday v11.30

Hello friends! I hope you’ve had a great Thanksgiving long weekend! We had a great time at my mom’s house with my brother and his family and a few others. We made custard, pumpkin and chocolate cream pies and ham to go along with my brother’s turkeys and rib roast… needless to say, we all had take home goodie bags.

We had a busy busy week last week. Our 3 year old washing machine leaked on the floor of our laundry room. The repairman said the main seal failed and he’d schedule a replacement washer to be delivered. The new one was delivered and installed on Monday. Our new bed was delivered on Wednesday. The guys were so nice- they told me to keep the plastic on the bed and bedframe for 3 days to make sure we were suuure we liked the bed so we still had the option to exchange it. We ended up loving it, so we took the plastic off 2 days later. I also ordered a bunch of goodies online for Santa to deliver. slowly they are being delivered and wrapped too. We always say we’re not going overboard but I think this year we mean it. ha ha.

In scrappy news, my 3*2*1*fire layout was featured at club creating keepsakes blog this week, yay! For my Creative Charms projects here are the dies/punches I used:

Two Peas Tuesday v11.9

Hello friends! it’s time again for Two Peas Tuesday. This week brought a new designer to Two Peas, I’m excitedly welcoming Lauren Reid to Two Peas… I’ll be working with nearly all of her goodies this week, they are so cute, totally my style, I think. :)

Hybrid Snowflake Card

I cut this snowflake on my silhouette using Laina’s snowflake shapes. The rosette is the new tim holtz die and the gems are by creative charms (gradient gems)a silver doily and glitter glue to finish it off :)

TTV* kit smitten

Dianne Rigdon’s now I lay me down to sleep kit is full of sweet dreamy papers. My favorite is the cloudy aqua one *no surprise there, right? perfect for some TTV (through the viewfinder) fun from last summer.

getting scrap-pea

I participated in my first online crop over at twopeasinabucket on Friday night. okay, so it was friday night in the central timezone, but afternoon for me over here in paradise. I missed the beginning because I was picking Jalen up from school. BUT, when I did get online, it was a fun, quick paced chat and scrap with some nice peas.

For Jen Martakis’ challenge I scrapped about love. Have you heard that song by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait? I swear, the first time I heard it, it was like it was written for my hubbs and me.

catching up on good things…

I had a 3 projects featured in the current ready, set, create ezine. that was pretty cool! :)

I have a new tutorial up on Miss Mint’s blog… I made a halloween minibook using my new Stampin’ Up! curvy label (top note) sizzix die. LOVE it!

Flat Joscie had a great time with my friend Stephanie! read about her visit on Stephanie’s blog…

I was so excited to see that she not only had a great time hanging out with Stephanie and her family, she also got to meet Ali Davis and Cathy Zielske! :)

I made the slide show over at OLW with my He’s a KEEPer layout, woot woot! :)

Possibly the most exciting news lately…. are you ready? I got an email from Creating Keepsakes! They are going to use a project of mine in the February Issue! I am SO THRILLED! woo hoo!

I got some new digi goodies from Karla Dudley this week! They are super hot. I LOVE ‘em and you can get them on Thursday. You’re going to want it! :)

I also finished my week in the life project! Finally. and I love it!

I used Karla Dudley’s word brushes for the days of the week and dots: Date a Star Kit. number brushes: Sweet Baby Brushes. I used Making Memories Ella paper (orange dots), Making Memories brads. Quickutz bottle cap dies to cut the felt shapes, Studio numbers. My trusty sewing Machine and red thread. mini pompom trim. Red Chalk ink, circle punches in 1″ and 1.25″, foam dots, corner rounder, HP Matte Photo Paper, PSE 6. Stampin’ Up! cardstock. Baseball card pages and 8.5×11 pages. I still need to get a new album to hold it all, so for now it’s on binder rings.
