Cosmo Cricket: Red/white polka dot paper. Ink: Red stazon, Black versafine. Studio Calico: Typewriter stamp, alpha stamp. Other: date stamp, sewing machine, grey thread, paper bag, copic pigment pen, red bakers twine.

I love that stazon ink on the edges on the grey paper. and that typewriter stamp, so cute! and so so in love with those maya roads pearl pins (now available at concroption.com)

Joscie, rhymes with bossy!

Today’s project started with 4 pictures of my son Jordan. He’s 3 years old and he loves these 3 non traditional “toys”. I originally intended to make a layout but the pictures seemed to large for a 12 x 12 but too small for a 2 pager. I instead opted for a mini book.

The book is 4″ tall and 8.5″ wide. I have rounded the corners of the pages and the pictures. The papers and trim are from the passport line. The mini glitter alphas are some of my favorites! :)

I hope you like this little mini project…. I hope you are all enjoying the tutorials! I plan to put up more tutorials soon.
As far as the blog here, I think you can register to be user. I am not sure if that will allow you to use an avatar. I sure miss looking at your smiling avatars.

Flat Joscie is visiting South Africa and loving every minute of her stay with Kim and family… I know it’s a bit silly, playing with paper dolls, but it is so much fun seeing a flat version of myself visiting all my friends all over the world! She even used my template to redo her blog header, isn’t that the coolest?! There are lots of pictures and a super cute story on Kim’s blog- please go and read it! :)

My POTDs Sunday we went to a box car track for Jalen’s best friend’s birthday Party. It was lots of fun. The funny thing, the kids all had to wear long pants that cover the ankle, covered shoes and helmets. hmmm helmet- check. shoes- check. long pants… hmmm, better head to the store! I am so used to seeing Jalen in shorts, it threw me for a loop looking at those long skinny legs in jeans. we all had a blast there… here is a shot of Jalen on the track. He’s on the right, looking right at the camera.
Monday’s POTD. While we were waiting for Jalen trying on the jeans… we saw this super cute hat. Jordan tried it on, and we had to get it. We had a power outage yesterday and with life just happening so quickly and frantically all around me… I just lost my firm grip on my intentions (*read control freak losing it!) So I am doing laundry and that kind of stuff today and trying to get back into my routine… I find routines soothing and calming. I don’t do well with frenzy. unless it’s frenzied shopping. ha!

Miss Mint’s post NSD sale starts tomorrow. I just downloaded and started playing in all the new goodies last night! I was shocked at how many new things are coming out! A LOT! super cute super cute stuff. I am almost done with a new layout. I’ll probably post it tomorrow. You know, one thing about digital… I tend to think and rethink layouts, hmmm is this done. what else does it need. how about if i move this here… and this… and with digital, it’s infinitely movable. I do the same thing with my paper layouts… up to a point where the adhesive is fixed and I just have to leave it alone.

I have several items that need to be mailed out so I better move my booty away from the computer. love to all of you! blog you later! :)

Okay, So I know I told you all I was heading downtown to see the statue decked in lei. My mistake, they put lei on the statue for his King Kamehameha Day, not May Day. I snapped a picture while Troy drove down the street.

Here is my new toy, the Paper Gator: I got it from Stamps and Memories, my favorite LSS. It came with 4 different blades and I love it. It barely takes any effort to cut through chipboard, stacks of paper… Yippee! It’s from Around the Block.

OH something else I wanted to share… I posted a picture of Jordan’s art as a POTD a while back and thought I’d make a little thing about art from our fridge… so without further ado:

We celebrated NSD with a trip to a local craft and local food fair today. It was at the Neal Blaisdell Center. I didn’t buy anything, but it was a decent time. I saw a few items I really liked. the rest was not really what I was looking for. But, since we got in and out so quickly we still had time to hit http://www.bishopmuseum.org/special/mamo2008.html Bishop Museum today. THis was my POTD for today, aren’t they beautiful wooden bowls?! I love it!

and that catches me up on all the POTDs. there is a POTD for May at AMR, CKMB, and the Spraground too… :) It is so much fun to capture daily events…. I need to upload the pics and order more from snap fish and get working on my POTD album again.

Have any of you had a chance to watch “carrier” on pbs lately? THat was the last deployment Troy was on. He wasn’t on the carrier, but on a destroyer in that battle group. We watched it last week on our pbs channel. It was really good. so true. so important for others to see. Try and catch it if you can.

I was inspired by a lady called craftpudding on etsy to try my hand at carving some stamps. I made my first and it was fun! I will share soon with you my hand carved stamps, my paper gator projects and those atc cards that I was supposed to mail out to kimmy for my Concroption atc trade. oh, and by the way, the concroption 40% off sale is still going on… check it out! :)

The other schedule change… the Making Memories blog feature won’t be until May first. When I got the update email from MM, I edited the previous blog post, so some of you already knew it was May 1, and some thought it was earlier. …

I went to check on the baby birds today and there is only one baby in there. I am sad. I looked around for it on the ground, but couldn’t find it. :( the other baby is looking good though. I hope it does well.

My blog rolled over 10000 hits yesterday. I can’t remember exactly when I started the counter, maybe in December? but those are bonnafide hits. It doesn’t count my hits, and I started at zero. I am so thrilled that so many of you come here to visit! and recently our group here has grown from about 85+ to 120+ hits a day! :) Thank you for visiting! (((hugs)))

Flat Joscie has arrived safely in MO. look at her cute new friend! She’s heading out with Christie to CKC and then sightseeing! :) Her next destination will be Birmingham!

For the hybrid card that I made the other day… I printed it at 8×10 size on a stampin up shimmery white card stock and then trimmed it with my trimmer.

Today was an early day for Jalen, so we picked him up from school and we all had pizza for lunch and pretty much hung out for the rest of the evening. I saw Mama Bird fly out of the nest today, and she seems to have a hurt foot, I am sad.
I got to scrap again today, played with the new heidi swapp carefree pink and brown paper… and I am almost done with the layout. I think just the journaling and I’ll be ready to post it.

Do you remember when I said I had another exciting piece of news that I was waiting to share? Well I got an “official” email today saying I could share……. so here it is…. Do you remember this post where I said how do I love Making Memories, let me count the ways? well that was in response to a post I saw on the Making Memories blog. They said if you want a chance to be featured on their blog, post a link to your blog in the comments…. So I did, and promptly wrote up the I love Making Memories post…. I got an email inviting me to submit a page and I am going to be their featured blog on May 1! I am over the moon excited! :) I so love Making Memories and really appreciate them letting me be a part of this! :D

Heidi Swapp black and white letter stickers. Mini stickers EK success. Sewing Machine, thread. I think I may add something more to it. not quite done with it yet. My POTD from yesterday, a beautiful Gebera Daisy on my front Porch. I am so glad we moved. this poor plant was terrorized by my *** neighbor kids at our last house. SO glad we MOVED! they are flourishing!

OH, I also got my package from Kimmy, some super cute papers/stuff :) and easter candies and toys for the boys. and a super sweet card ! ((hugs Kimmy)) and I got my package from taG (concroption) The Teresa Collins die cuts are so cute and the Kit is super super cute! I also got some 7 gypsies ATCs in transparencies, very cute… so many goodies, I can’t wait to play. I finished my AMR ATC swap and got them packaged up. Stacey said my stuff mailed today, so maybe I’ll have it by Monday! I still need to work on Liz’s Circle Journal, get a thank you package out to Annie who’s hosting Flat Joscie right now…….Angie, I got your package in the Mail, Noel, got your coffee in the mail, Happy Scrappy Sam, you’ve got a package coming too. :) I hope you are all having a great great weekend! roy flies out tomorrow, so please pray for safe travels for him… and for his safe, speedy return to us….
