Miss Mint has release her newest digital goodness! She has a planet earth paper pack and elements. She has textured cardstock, Birthday Bingo Cards and a new freebie! Here are a few layouts/projects that I’ve made this past week:

We are big drinkers

journaling: of diet coke and coffee! In our beautiful state of Hawaii, we have a bottle deposit. That means with every can or bottle of soda there is a
5 cent charge at the store when you purchase (sometimes there is a 6 cent charge) and there is only a 5 cent refund when you bring it back. The bottles must be clean, empty and still have the label attached and you have to take it to a redemption center. When the law first started up, I stopped buying 12 packs of diet coke and switched to two liter bottles. It just seemed silly to pay for all those bottle deposits because at the time 2 liters were exempt from the deposit… so we simply made the switch to two liter bottles. We would still recycle the 2 liter bottles and any of the few other bottles or cans that we had. The 2 liter bottles are now a part of the deposit system and Saturday was the day we finally packed all those plastic bags into the van and down to the recycling truck. The truck has “reverse vending” machines where you put a bottle or can in and it gives you a ticket worth money. Our redemption center gives tickets for the Navy Exchange.

journaling: the city dropped off our blue recycling bins today. We can now recycle #1 + #2 plastics, cardboard, and aluminum cans curbside. I am so thrilled to do our part to help reduce waste!

love love love the bingo cards. Fiskars and Martha Stewart border punches on birthday boogie papers, some thickers, letter stickers, other punches and glimmer mist in Iridescent Gold.

and I as I was making this card, I couldn’t help but think, hmmm maybe I should have bought the orange bakers twine too… ha.

i love scrapbooking

I have been meeting a lot of new people lately (and through facebook reconnecting with long lost school mates) and I’m never quite sure what to say when they say what do you do? I usually say this: I am a stay at home mom with two boys. I do a little photography and I scrapbook. (insert their puzzled face). Then I add: some people watch tv, some people read or play video games or sports, I scrapbook. I take pictures of our life, I scrapbook them and share them through my blog, through online forums, and this past year I’ve actually been published a few times! Sometimes they get it, sometimes they don’t, but it’s part of me and what I do! I have made many friends through the online world of scrapbooking and for this I am thankful. There are a few people who are on the lookout for new talent to show off their fabulous products and I wanted to share my scrapbooking with them. I am a faithful, dedicated, loyal lady who loves scrapbooking.

Stampin’ Up! textured cardstock, star punch. Making Memories: mini letter stickers, red flocked paper. Jenni Bowlin: Chipboard buttons, ticket. Maya Roads: Pearled pin. Cosmo Cricket: Red/white polka dot paper. Ink: Red stazon, Black versafine. Studio Calico: Typewriter stamp, alpha stamp. Other: date stamp, sewing machine, grey thread, paper bag, copic pigment pen, red bakers twine.

I love that stazon ink on the edges on the grey paper. and that typewriter stamp, so cute! and so so in love with those maya roads pearl pins (now available at concroption.com)
