Aloha! We give thanks today for our family and our friends.  For our health.  For clean water, electricity, food, a safe and comfortable home.  For being American.  For our cars, for the internet, for computers, cameras and blogs.  For smiling and laughter.  For our numerous numerous blessings! Most of all we give our Thanks to God for Jesus Christ. For loving us though we don’t deserve it and could never earn it.  Thank you.

In celebration of Thanksgiving day, I made Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, and two Custard Pies yesterday.  Today I am baking a ham and we’ll bring them all to a celebration at my Mom’s house… over the Highway (H-3) and through the tunnels to grandmother’s house we go… :)

I have a few scrappy things to be thankful for!  I saw an opportunity for a guest designer spot at Cocoa Daisy posted at my friend Kim’s blog, so I took a chance and posted a layout to go with the sketch! I was fortunate enough to make it to round 2!  Here is the layout I made:

I also have another bit of exciting scrappy news to be thankful for… I got an email from CK last week requesting my layout for the Seasonal Solutions call! It will be in the April 09 issue of Creating Keepsakes Magazine. I am so so thrilled!  I have been submitting to calls off and on for the past two years or so and I am so thrilled to finally be chosen! :) (you could knock me over with a feather!)

My hubby got me a surprise last week too! a remote for the new camera! I am so thrilled because now I can try and get more family shots on the new camera including me too!  I can’t wait to get our Christmas tree up and decorated (this may be our last year with a real tree) and preparing the house for the Christmas season.  It really is the best time of the year! :)
