Happy Fat Tuesday!  That’s the day before ash Wednesday/Mardi Gras/Malasada Day.  So as not to break tradition, Jordan and I headed down to Leonard’s Bakery in Waimalu to pick up some Malasadas.  These hot, sweet deep fried yeasty sugary bits are so so good!  We picked up some for Jalen’s class to enjoy and some to bring home for the family! :)

We’re also hosting flat stanley who is visiting from Seattle, WA! So far he’s visited the school, leonard’s and the commissary.  I’m hoping to get out to some other great sites before he has to return.

I was trying to get a new avatar picture and Jordan wanted to climb up in my lap to pose with me. I was so happy to get these shots!

and my last finished project is for the Concroption.com DT atc swap.  The theme is love songs, but I just can’t get David Archuletta’s song CRUSH out of my head, so I went with that. ;)  I painted the 7gypsies atcs carribean blue (myFAVORITE) cut out some white felt clouds and sewed on red heart buttons (from walmart).  I also printed some words from the song with PSE/Printer/my handwriting font from yourfont.com.

I am currently working on an altered project for a concroption challenge, and thinking about other hybrid projects on the horizon.

Flat Joscie went to CHA with PrimaDonna Liz Hicks and had quite a time! Liz took her on a tour of all the coolest things, I am so thankful for Liz.  Flat Joscie made it to the glitz girls CHA recap video, met up with Vicki Boutin, Donna Salazar and Leah Fung… I can’t wait to read her travel journal.  Flat Joscie is heading to the big easy, if she’s not there already… to spend some time with Veronica (MissOnigur) in New Orleans… and then to Canada to visit none other than the fabulous Miss Mint! :)

Oh, and one last tidbit… Did you know Creating Keepsakes has a blog? I have been following it since it just started recently… I won a giveaway on the blog, yay! :)

In blog news, I am excited to finally be able to do my own database backups and have upgraded to WordPress 2.7! I am thrilled that the flash uploader for the photos is working again, and it just looks pretty all around. YAY! :)  Are you happy with your blog provider? WordPress has a lot to offer, and it’s not as scary and overly technical as I thought it might be.  I have been really happy with my WP blog.

My Google phone is working and I am loving it!  I can tweet, read email, use gps to figure out where I’m going (or where I am).  The camera on the phone is sadly lacking, but then again, that’s why I’m always carrying my canon with me, right?

we went out looking at Christmas lights a few nights ago and I got a few really cool bokeh shots of the lights, inspired by Vee.  Troy looked at the camera and was like, hey that’s really blurry, yep, that was the look I was going for…

this was on Hickam AFB the freedom tower… I’m hoping we’ll get to go downtown to the city lights tomorrow :)

I am so thrilled!

In other thrilling news, I was able to set up a 301 redirect for all my old blogger permalinks to the new wordpress links.  The old school abrig (awesomest blog readers in the galaxy) will remember that this is my third blog change since starting it.  In the very begining, I started the blog at cutchens.com/joscelyneblog/blogger.html .  then after a few months i realized this was an entirely too long blog address.  I fretted and fretted, but finally decided to take the plunge and switch the blog to cutchens.com .  now the latest change still keeps the main blog at cutchens.com, but all the old “permalinks” were under a different naming convention/file type than the current style.  but lest I bore or lose you in my utter geekiness… just know that I am equally excited to have been able to make the change  as i was to make the slide show at olw.

the next will be upgrading wordpress to the next version….

I swear I am going to edit my potds soon.  also i better get that camera out and shoot a potd for today, only an hour and a half left in the day!
