and of course i was drooling over this sewing machine. check out the wooden case, so so pretty! :)

and this tobacco desk. it was really really tall. and totally drool worthy!

I ended up buying the two stamps in the middle of the desk (score $5 a piece)

and of course, I was drooling over this typewriter.

We finally walked out of the antique store with two stamps and a coke wooden case (2+ hours later) It was so nice walking around with Troy

we had some awesome sweets from the bakery next door too:

Lilikoi (passionfruit) and guava cupcakes. mmmmmmmmmmm. they were good.

we also got some decorated cookies that were very good as well.

we left the luncheon before the photo walk and instead headed down to Ala Moana Shopping Center.  It’s the largest shopping center on the island, and I wanted to pick up a gift for my cousin’s wedding at Williams Sonoma (one of my very favorite stores!) we had the gift wrapped and enjoyed some refreshments from the Nordstrom ecafe.

Okay, so I don’t know this girl, but when we were leaving the mall, I saw this strange Hello Kitty who knows what?! I had to snap a picture.

I also caught this gorgeous antique cash register in a store window!

In honor of our early valentine’s day and our 13th wedding anniversary, we made a dash over to the local camera store and Troy got me a wide angle lens I’ve been coveting for a loooong time! A canon 10-22.  Here are a few shots I’ve taken in all their wide-angled glory!  Troy at my cousin’s wedding:

He also got a 105 f2.8 macro lens. I love that too, but my heart really is with the wide. :)

Troy’s ship headed out this week for some testing or some sort of something this week.  We headed down to our favorite spot on Hickam to hopefully catch some shots of the ship as it headed out to sea.  It was sunset and beautiful.

we were waiting for the ship when I saw it coming. I thought, this is going to be great! Wouldn’t it be awesome if I could tell you this is a picture of my hero riding off into the sunset?

nope. not even his ship. Hee Hee! It’s a canadian ship.  in fact, we walked all the way back to the car, I switched to the zoom lens and caught this shot of the sunset…

and then got the text message saying they were coming by now.  so here is the not so romantic, not so greatly lit, more grainy shot of his ship. oh well. :)

So I am still waiting on sharing the big news.  Truthfully I get a little superstitious and I like to wait until it’s truly official, like posted on their website before I share it here. I don’t want to jinx it!  I hope you’ve enjoyed this picture heavy post…
