I also ordered various page protectors and plan to use my american crafts 12 x 12 binders, I have several empty ones ready for the task.

While I am planning to do a P366 (365+1) and I’m also planning to do one little word throughout the year, I am going to be free with my project life and just use it for whatever I find interesting in our daily life. No rules. No Stress. only fun, funny, important or interesting items allowed.

I also picked up Paislee Press journaling cards because, how could I not? I had them printed at office max on the laser printer @.17 a page.

I spent several hours the other day choosing photos and doing small collages for my december daily album.  We took those to Target to be printed today.  I have to tell you, there were two cute older ladies next to me at the Kodak Digital Kiosk looking through their pictures and I kept hearing them say, I already developed those… and it made me smile.  first because they were talking about digital printing =  developing and second because I have just started using Lightroom  and its photo editing part is called develop.

I have also been considering my word for the year in twenty twelve.  I put the contenders up on my favorite media of all time:

I was looking for a feeling that was the opposite of anxiety.  or some way I could improve myself. I have settled in and the word that is speaking to me now is calm.

I will be more calm. I will not let the mental to do list spin me into anxiety. I will control my temper. I will exercise patience. I will look at the big picture and not get worked up over the unimportant things.

I got the Scrapbooks, Etc. Feb 2012 issue delivered to my house the other day. I am super excited to see my Feb Layout in there. It’s featured on p 124!

One last bit of scrappiness. I got an invite to a super cool crafty opportunity and I will share with you as soon as I can. I am so stoked!

I didn’t even want to spend that much money. Even though it’s in Anaheim, CA, and I could have visited a friend who lives nearby, I would have had to get a hotel room, paid for food and all that other good stuff and it just was not looking like  a sound financial choice, so I said, no thanks, maybe next time.  Well now that the gas is down and airfares are cheaper and all that … I’m just a little sad I couldn’t make it.  I am glad that Flat Joscie is going to be there with Liz Hicks! :)

First day of Third Grade-

I colored these Heidi Swapp white chipboard letters with a staz-on ink pad.  It’s one of my favorite ways to color chipboard, less messy than paint and no brushes to clean.

Blue shimmery cardstock, KI lace paper, Stampin’ Up! Spiral Punch and red cardstock, Heidi Swapp chipboard alphas, Making Memories Buttons, white clip, mini alphas and Patterned Paper, glue dots, American Crafts Pigment pen, notebook paper, paper clip, ATG gun.

Materials- Stampin’ Up!- Kraft Card Stock, Foam Dots, flourish rubons, notebook punch. Heidi Swapp Patterned Paper, Photo folder, love rhinestones, acrylic butterfly.  Jenni Bowlin die cut mini label paper.  American Crafts ribbon, letter rubons.  Bazzil Die Cut Chipboard C.  Scenic Route Letter Stickers.  ATG gun.  Glue Dots. Buttons from fabric store.  Embroidery floss.  Katie Pertiet’s Dated Journalers 2 (www.designerdigitals.com)  Font: CK_Alis_Writing.  Cats eye ink Chestnut Roan.

Technique-I folded the butterfly and used glue dots to adhere.  I printed the journaling on the patterned paper, punched the notebook punch on the edge.

The Picture date is applied digitally in PSE using brushes from Katie Pertiet.  First I “stamped” the 28 in white, opacity 35%, then stamped the FEB in brown, opacity 35% and added the 2008 using a brush I made with the font CK_Alis_Writing over the 28.
