I have been a sewing fool this week! I’m almost done with my aprons to send out to some friends, and I am so stoked.  I so LOVE to finish a project, don’t you?!  I’ve also done a few projects. From Two Peas in a Bucket: I used Erica Hernandez’s Happy Paper Pack and Wonky [...]

I’m alive!

January 19th, 2010 · 3 Comments · DT, Photography, Two Peas in a Bucket, scrapbook, sewing

I have spent the last week/weekend working on my desktop computer.  Some how my 1 Terabyte HD was almost full.  and I keep all my digiscrap and pictures on 2 external hard drives, so I was a bit puzzled by this.  The best I could figure is that the computer backed up my two external [...]

October 28th, 2009 · 17 Comments · Family, Food, Hawaii, house, navy life, sewing

Sunday was a very busy day, we took a little trip down to China town to buy lei for Troy’s homecoming and a little snack too.  Our favorite Lei Store was called sweethearts back in the day and then re-emerged as Po’ohala a few years ago, same family, new name.  I always go there to [...]

Jordan’s big week

August 1st, 2009 · 8 Comments · Family, sewing

So Jordan started his new preschool this week. Well, sorta started.  They really take into consideration that some kids have never been to preschool or day care, or even out of sight of mom…. (or other primary caregiver).  Monday was the parent’s orientation.  We learned the rules of the school, proper protocols and all that [...]

July 22nd, 2009 · 2 Comments · DT, sewing

I sent out the ATCs for our monthly Concroption DT swap and wanted to share with you.  I chose the theme ME cards.  sort of like a baseball card that has a picture of you and a little tidbit to share.  Here is the card I came up with: the card is made on a [...]

6 words

May 9th, 2009 · 9 Comments · scrapbook, sewing, stamping

The creative prompt for yesterday’s LOAD was to sum up your life, motto, attitude, yourself in 6 words, no more, no less. I have thought about this challenge before and it is challenging and fun to come up with 6 word sentences (or lists). check out this youtube video for more about the idea… then [...]

Sometimes you just have to go with what makes you happy.  I saw these pictures linked on Elle’s blog and was so smitten with happiness, I had to create my own version. Here are the original shots of inspiration by whenbessattacks: http://www.flickr.com/photos/whenbessattacks/2265671231/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/whenbessattacks/2266460448/ Fabulous, right?! It’s taken me a few days, but I am so [...]

January 29th, 2009 · 12 Comments · DT, Family, Holidays, Memory Makers, Publication, scrapbook, sewing, stamping

I finally had a chance to get back into my paper supplies, it’s been far too long!  We had a challenge at Concroption for the DT members to scrap a 2 page 12×12 layout about our dreams/goals for this year.  I scrapped my phrase for the year, do it now. Materials:  Heidi Swapp- Patterned Paper [...]

reusable grocery bags

January 24th, 2009 · 4 Comments · sewing

I love reusable grocery bags.  Plastic grocery bags have always left me with a bad feeling. Maybe it’s that I worked at a Grocery store when I was in college and I know that paper bags pack items so much neater and are more likely to be reused than plastic (in my household)…Maybe it’s because [...]
