Hello friends. We are currently one month from flying off this beautiful island where I was born and grew up. Where I met my husband and then followed him where the Navy sent us. This time we’re leaving and looking towards retirement. We’re shipping our car on Friday, packing our computers and other essentials next Tuesday and the rest of our household goods on the following Wednesday-Friday. It is starting to really be real. (cue scream inside my head) We have spent the last few days trying to pare down our belongings, donating things that can be reused and throwing out or recycling the others. Just trying to take one day at a time and still appreciate this tropical paradise.
On Sunday I got to meet Tiffany in real life :) She just moved here with her family from Prattville, AL near where we’re moving. She is super sweet and has the cutest family :)
Yesterday we had an early dinner at one of our favorite local eateries Genki Sushi followed by Fro Yo at Tutti Frutti. We were home in time to walk a lap around the neighborhood and spend some time at the playground. Purged some old stuff, decided on the keeper shoes, played luggage tetris with the car, made new luggage tags.
Today we drove over to Kaneohe to eat at Windward Mall and had lunch. My mom joined us too :)
We also were lucky enough to pick up some mangoes at my friend Malisa’s house.
Just soaking it in friends, just soaking it in.
Thanks for stopping by!
Love Love and Blog you Later,
Joscie, rhymes with bossy :)
