Seattle Trip Day 1

Hello Friends! First I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who voted for my card in the Paper Crafts Magazine World Card Making Day Honorable Mention Poll, I just found out that I won and will be getting a box full of goodies!

I’ve been busy pressing flair since I got back home but I wanted to share pictures of my Seattle Trip with you.  The first day of my Seattle Trip  started late Wednesday night when I flew out of Honolulu to Seattle on Alaska Airlines. It was the first time I had ever flown with them. They asked at the gate for volunteers who would be willing to gate check their roller bags to be picked up at baggage claim. I gladly volunteered my bag as I also had my camera bag with my essentials.I got in my seat, the row in front of the exit row. This is code for this row does not recline. Add to this the strangers sitting so close and no blankets on the plane, I was very cold. I did my best to get some sleep and was excited to arrive in Seattle.

I made my way to baggage claim, picked up my bags and caught the shuttle to my hotel, the Hilton in Bellevue. The driver was courteous and got me there safely.

When I arrived at the hotel, the first thing I noticed was no bell service offered to help me with my bags. The lady at the front desk was kind enough to hold my bags until a room became available. I grabbed a coffee from Tully’s in the lobby and sat trying not to fall asleep in the comfy chairs.

I lucked out and a room became available at 10 am and I got a little nap in before meeting up with my girl friends Noel and Erica. We first met in 2007ish on the Creating Keepsakes Message Board and have been friends ever since. I spent some IRL time with them at Seattle CKC in 2007 too. I love these girlies! We plugged the A Muse Studio info into the GPS and headed over in Noel’s car. We also did not plan to dress alike, we just all share a love of aqua.

Vanessa welcomed us to A Muse and showed us around

we walked down the street to have some lunch and I snapped these pictures of the pretty leaves :)

My yummy sandwich :)

Noel drove Erica and I back to the hotel and we went to the Thursday Night Technique crop at the Convention Center.

we hit up whole foods for some dinner items before heading back to the room.

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I’ll share more about Day two at CKC. :)

Love Love and Blog you Later,

Joscie, rhymes with bossy :)

  1. The photos of the leaves are so pretty! I think the trees & leaves are probably my favorite thing about Washington – so different from SoCal.

DYK I’m totally adding A Muse Studio to my list of places to see in Seattle.

  2. Sigh…jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m glad you had fun though! I think I’m going to go to CKC Portland in 2013. I went to the Scrapbook Expo in October in Portland, representing Michaels, and it was soooooooooo fun, and I figure CKC will be even better!!!
