BasicGrey Design Team Lucille Blog Hop

Welcome to the BasicGrey Lucille Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the blog of Kelly Noel.

Like pieces of fabric sewn together with care, time-tested and much-loved, Lucille by BasicGrey proves that variety is the spice of life. Pull that old dress out of the trunk, dust it off, darn it up and grab your kitten heels, because it’s time to pattern your next project, perfectly.

I had an idea to hand cut the title out of different patterned papers from this collection.  I printed the title on plain paper, trimmed and used a piece of washi tape to hold it on to the patterned paper pieces. I used a craft knife to cut out the letters and then machine stitched around the edges of the flags. I used a banner (how cute is that little hanger?) and I put a Lucille button on the hanger top. I also added a few woven labels to my banner and picture. I added chipboard stickers to my project and used the little circles from the stickers as confetti.

  1. Loving this layout Joscie! LOVE the blue stitching, you guys look to be having a great time! I think my favorite paper is the Indigo Ink.

  2. Gorgeous layout showcasing this fabulous collection. I think I would use the India Ink paper the most – that deep blue is my favorite color!

  3. I am in LOVE with this LO! The whole sewing/vintage fabric theme of the paper collection is right up my alley to begin with, but you have perfected it with all the stitching on this page. LOVE IT!! My favorite paper so far is Pin It, but it’s really hard to stick with just that one when I see these wonderful projects! I keep falling in love with each one I see.

  4. This is a wonderful layout and a great tribute to friendship. Love how you negatively cut the letters in the title papers. Also, the colors and the embellishments along with the sewing are just perfect!
