Welcome to the BasicGrey Serenade Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the blog of Kelly Noel.
The Serenade Collection captures the refinement of bygone years, where tea was served with crumpets and your dinner guests retired to the parlor for sparkling conversation. Full of refined grace and delicate simplicity, you’ll love adorning your projects with Serenade’s layers of petticoats, bustled tea gowns and prim parasols.
I created a layout and two cards to share with you today.
the fountain
I love the watercolor look on this Dowagers paper. I trimmed 2 strips of Peacock paper and stitched to the edge of the background piece. I added two layers of garland and threaded the end of the garland thread through a wooden button. I also added a few banner stickers behind the picture and added the title with alphabet stickers. I also hand cut the chevrons at the top out of another sheet of dowagers paper. The journaling spot is from the snippets pad.

hello bird card
I used Bowler Hat and Pence papers to create the background of the card. I added a strip from the snippets pad, a button and some element stickers.

wavy banner card
I used the Shillings and Avalon papers to create the card base. I layered a hand cut banner from the dowagers paper. I used foam adhesive and regular adhesive to create waves. I also added a strip of garland over the top of the banner and wove the end into a large wooden button. click the picture for a larger view.
