The classes have been announced for the Seattle CKC in November, I’m looking through the list and earmarking the most intriguing ones… The last time I went in 2007, I took classes taught by Ali Edwards, Lisa Bearnson and Brittany Beattie… it was quite exciting. I can’t wait to see who my teachers will be and who will be in my classes…. and who I might meet at a crop or for lunch. The last time I went, we all brought a lunch and met up for a casual hangout lunch and I’d love to do the same again this time. Please leave me a comment or email me to let me know what day you’re going to be there if you’d like to do a lunch or hangout or just a quick meet up/photo op. I.AM.SO.EXCITED!
I also got a fabulously exciting and unexpected email this week and I will share it with you as soon as i can. but.wow, pleasant surprise!
Family News
Troy and Jalen spent a few days at a church camp on the big island this past week. They did some hot sweaty work and spent some quality time with other youth group members. Jordan and I spent some quality time, right here at home. It is such a different dynamic to have just one child with you, and such a blessing to be able to focus on one at a time. We all missed the other half of our family, but had a happy reunion last night at the airport. We took turns sharing stories of our week and then finally took some time to relax with some reading time before bed.
Tonight is week 3 of our church VBS, we do consecutive Friday nights and I’m running the craft projects for the kids. I have come to the realization that is stirs much anxiety in a paper nudger’s heart to plan a 20 minute kids craft. The first week we did a crayon coloring with a watercolor wash that went off fabulously. Most of the kids, even the older ones, were intrigued by the process. Last week’s felt butterfly finger puppet project was a mess. I did not have the right type of glue because I used hot glue at home, but thought it would be safer for the kids to use white glue. Guess what, it did not work well. the felt just sucked up the glue and did not want to stick. (stress) This week we’re doing dry erase message boards for the older kids and clothes pin people/houses for the littles. I’m nervous and trying to embrace my word of the year (calm) but it’s not here yet.
My InLaws (Granny and Pop) are coming to visit next week and we are all excited about that too!
Thanks for stopping by!
Love Love and Blog you Later,
