We flew from Honolulu to Denver, CO and then switched to a smaller plane to fly into Birmingham, AL. We saw beautiful snowy landscape through the window as we flew over. Our first stop after landing in Birmingham and getting our rental car was Chick-fil-A on our way south.
the next morning Troy and I got up and drove into Prattville to find a dress for me to wear to the funeral. We tried Kohls and then headed over to Hobby Lobby in the same complex. I love these flowering trees in front of the store too.
Wednesday was Grandma Ethel’s funeral. We headed out bright and early to Union Springs, AL for the service. We snapped some family shots before it started. After the service and graveside, we went to Aunt Peggy’s house in Midway for some food and visiting time. I love her old farm house, it is so warm and full of treasures, I just love to look around. She also has lots and lots of flowers and plants, I wandered around snapping pictures. Troy’s family has been so warm and welcoming, I am just so glad to spend some time with them.

Funerals are a beautiful thing, the cycle of life here on earth ends, while the soul travels to be with God….and family reunited! ♥ You got so many lovely photos…the flowers, bicycles and cross on the barn. Snow. Wish we had more of it this year…
We went to see Rick Santorum speak yesterday! He is really such a great guy, family with him and overall someone I would REALLY like to see as president! Are you voting in the primaries?
