Scrappy Recap

Hello friends!  I have jumped on board the Project Life bandwagon and like so so many of my friends I got the Clementine Kit.  I was so excited for it to arrive via the UPS man the other day:

I also ordered various page protectors and plan to use my american crafts 12 x 12 binders, I have several empty ones ready for the task.

While I am planning to do a P366 (365+1) and I’m also planning to do one little word throughout the year, I am going to be free with my project life and just use it for whatever I find interesting in our daily life. No rules. No Stress. only fun, funny, important or interesting items allowed.

I also picked up Paislee Press journaling cards because, how could I not? I had them printed at office max on the laser printer @.17 a page.

I spent several hours the other day choosing photos and doing small collages for my december daily album.  We took those to Target to be printed today.  I have to tell you, there were two cute older ladies next to me at the Kodak Digital Kiosk looking through their pictures and I kept hearing them say, I already developed those… and it made me smile.  first because they were talking about digital printing =  developing and second because I have just started using Lightroom  and its photo editing part is called develop.

I have also been considering my word for the year in twenty twelve.  I put the contenders up on my favorite media of all time:

I was looking for a feeling that was the opposite of anxiety.  or some way I could improve myself. I have settled in and the word that is speaking to me now is calm.

I will be more calm. I will not let the mental to do list spin me into anxiety. I will control my temper. I will exercise patience. I will look at the big picture and not get worked up over the unimportant things.

Here’s a DHD page I did using Gen’s template:

I got the Scrapbooks, Etc. Feb 2012 issue delivered to my house the other day. I am super excited to see my Feb Layout in there. It’s featured on p 124!

One last bit of scrappiness. I got an invite to a super cool crafty opportunity and I will share with you as soon as I can. I am so stoked!

Thanks for stopping by!

Love Love and Blog you Later,

Joscie, rhymes with bossy :)

  1. Congrats on your pages being published! :) Beautiful! :) Did you print out the journaling cards on cardstock? I was planning on printing at home but printing the journaling cards in bulk at Office Max might be a better solution. What do you think?

  2. Joscie, just bought my copy of scrapbook etc. and saw your layout. It printed out gorgeous. Project life? I don’t think it is for me. I’m still not done with my summer album and didn’t even start on my December daily album. I always drool when I see Liz’s project life pages. Liz has always been my digi idol and Becky is the one responsible for getting me hooked into scrap booking many moons ago. Happy New Year!

  3. Wow…this is the first I’ve heard of project life (I haven’t been scrapbooking much lately, but have TONs of photos, so I should get back into it) AND I think this looks awesome! I want to join in!!! I clicked on your link to the Paislee Press journaling cards and it didn’t work.

  4. WoW! I haven’t gotten thru 1/2 the mag yet, so I didn’t get to your page!!!!! Off to go and look! congrats!!
My “word” this year is “Simplify.” to be less complex. less worry. Simple. I think it’s going to be a GREAT year!!

  5. Oh Joscie, I am so excited for you. Congrats on getting published (again). Your work def deserves to be in the mags. Now I have to go search for that mag in my little country town ;)

I’m loving your concept of P365/ Project Life/OLW! I love your January LO too. What a cool thing to do each month. And your OLW journey is inspiring. I think I know my word but still thinking it over. Maybe I’ll borrow your sticky note idea :)

  6. Love your BLOG. Love seeing you in the mags. (My little ‘famous’ friend. LOL)

Wishing you and yours all the best in the coming year! ROCK ON JOSCIE!
