Family Fun: Literary Edition

We live just  a few blocks from our neighborhood library and have finally started using it this summer.  We’ve signed up for the summer reading program and are logging our books read this summer.  We try to make it out there once a week.

This is the person checking off the reading list and handing out the incentives…

Ever since reading the Percy Jackson series, Jalen has been really interested in Greek mythology.

Jordan is looking for the books he wants to borrow. although he often says buy, I can’t imagine why?? hee hee.

I am very thankful for our local library.  The librarians are quite helpful and hey, free books? Who knew?!

Thanks for stopping by for this edition of Family Fun.

Love Love and Blog you Later,

  1. I adore these photos….and will do the same with my girls and our next library visit! Thank you for the inspiration. We live across the street from the library…and have a summer reading program. The girls got silly putty as a reward earlier this week!!!

  2. Isn’t it just super cool when kids love reading? The library can be such an exciting place, especially when kids love books. BTW, I keep forgetting that there’s a Salt Lake in Hawai’i. I get mixed up when you mention SL and think for a minute that you are in Utah…until I see the landscape and palm trees…LOL! I’m a geek!
