Today we had the opportunity to welcome home a hero. Not Troy this time, but a sailor from Troy’s ship that has just spent the last year in the desert as an IA (Individual Augmentee). Several families from our command headed down to the airport Friday afternoon to welcome him home. The MWR representative rolled out the red carpet, handed out flags and noisemakers and we all waited with our signs and lei.
I made this sign. How convenient is it to be a hybrid scrapper? (that’s minty paper and letters there)
our lei …
some of the other kiddies ready to cheer…
I love the look on his face, like what the? We were all clapping and cheering for this hero…
Welcome home hero, welcome home.
Thanks for stopping by! I have a few more pictures from this morning and then a scrappy tutorial to work on…
