Granny and Pop are visiting

June 10th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Design House Digital, DT, Family, Peppermint Creative

On Tuesday the boys and I headed down to China Town to pick up a few lei for Granny and Pop who were flying in to visit us for the next two weeks.  Jordan picked a puakenikeni lei (my favorite) and Jalen picked a plumeria lei (granny’s favorite).

Since it was Tuesday, we headed down to Island Burger at Ala Moana Shopping Center for kids eat free.  I am a big fan of kids eat free, aren’t you?!  The server snapped a picture of all of us :)

Do you know the saying it’s a small world?  I always say it’s a small world, but Hawaii is a small(er) island.   You just can’t go anywhere without running into someone you know.    This particular night we ran into my cousin Kaui with her Hawaiian Language group, it was nice to see her.

No trip to Ala Moana is complete without picking up some rice cake for Jordan and also a trip to the Lego Store.  We were all excited to see Buzz and Woody in the window!  I asked the boys to stand next to them and to “make Lego hands”…

and the next morning was full of this:

We are all having a good time and I am about to get busy with my scrappy projects.  I have two tutorials up right now I want to share.

The first one is a Minty educational calendar I made for the boys:

see the Hybrid calendar tutorial here.

I also created a hybrid layout tutorial over at Design House Digital:

Thanks for stopping by!  I’m going to go get scrappy now!

Love Love and Blog you Later!
