pennant banner love

March 29th, 2010 · 1 Comment · DT, scrapbook, Two Peas in a Bucket

It’s no secret around here that I love pennant banners.  They are just so happy!  When I saw this kit by Vinnie Pearce, i just had to have it. Hello, colorful pennant banner and clouds, love. :)  There is also a new challenge over at two peas called the lift it challenge where you have a week to lift a paper layout into a digi layout and if you use 2 peas kits you can be eligible to win a prize.  This is the layout I created for this challenge:

I want to share a picture with you and ask, can you guess what Jordan is doing in the photo?

I posted this on my Facebook the other day and my girlfriend Lala was the only one to guess.  While walking on the beach, Jordan saw this piece of driftwood.  He immediately picked it up and started pumping it over his head.  “Look, I’m a sand person!” (from star wars)

When creating this layout, I considered placing an element over the truck in the background, but in the end I decided to flip the picture and create more background green, use Gaussian blur to cover the edge and it provided a perfect spot for the journaling.  The beauty of digital.(and p.s. i saw a you tube video featuring a new tool in cs5 that would make this even easier and faster to fix. drool)

both layouts use Vinnie Pearce’s Toy Box Kits: Toy Box Kraft Solids, Toy Box Elements, Toy Box Papers

the second layout also uses: Bee Happy: The Alphas by Betsy Tuma and Letter Template Value Pack III by Erica Hernandez

I wanted to thank you again for your votes for the CK Reader’s Choice poll, I didn’t win, but I thank you for your votes! :) I send out my congratulations to Jana’s winning layout (the one with the boots, it was so cute!)

Thanks for stopping by, I’ll be back again soon with more from 2 peas, some minty goodies and more.

Love Love and Blog you Later,

Joscie, rhymes with bossy!
