Just reading through your blog and found that we have soo much in common. I just re-learned how to crochet a few months ago, grandma taught me when I was young, but I thought it was too hard. Learned how to crochet flowers and the difference between single crochet and double crochet on YouTube - love that site! If you havent' already, google "Amigurumi" - amazing what you can do with crochet in the round. Wanna try knitting next, but that one looks difficult to learn. I've been scrapbooking/stamping since I was in high school and just love all things crafty.
