Sometimes you just have to go with what makes you happy. I saw these pictures linked on Elle’s blog and was so smitten with happiness, I had to create my own version. Here are the original shots of inspiration by whenbessattacks:

Fabulous, right?! It’s taken me a few days, but I am so thrilled with my results! These are 3 18×36 canvases that I painted in a carribean blue acrylic paint. The clouds are all cut free hand out of felt, stuffed and stitched. The red felt hearts are die cut out of a sizzix die and handstitched with aqua embroidery floss. I am so happy every time I see the little hearts fluttering :)

and before I even started with the clouds, I had already hung these ornaments in the entry way to my scrap space… the pompoms make me smile! :) I also hung some in the kitchen, but those don’t have pompoms, that idea struck after they were already hung up…

It’s beginning to look a lot like valentines day, eh? I did a hybrid version of the valentine’s candy box this year (since there were twice as many to make) and posted the tutorial over at Miss Mint’s Blog. Leave a comment or retweet it if you like it! :)
I’ll be celebrating my 2 year blogiversary on Feb 14! I am so glad I jumped on the blogging band wagon, I have gained so much out of the whole experience! I hope you are all having a great day and I can’t wait to come back and blog again. :)
love-love, Joscie, rhymes with bossy!

I love the hearts and poms, so cute!
that’s fantastic! i love felt.
it was a lot of fun making the set… lots of styrofoam cutting. the shop (edge of urge) still uses the clouds for window displays, so it’s not destroying the environment.
