Aloha friends! It certainly is a Happy Happy New Year! We are one week in and I am celebrating! I got a facebook chat window up yesterday from my friend Lynn and she said she got her February issue of Creating Keepsakes Magazine and saw Jalen’s smiling face! I was so thrilled! I knew the issues came up earlier than the actual month, but wow, Feb in the first week of January!! I asked her if she could send me a picture because I had not seen the article yet. She did one better, she scanned the article and emailed it to me. and I have to tell you, if you didn’t already know, I am a sap. I felt like my heart could stop and I was so excited and felt like tearing up all at once! When Troy got home from work, we immediately went out to the Navy Exchange to check out the Magazine Rack–and there they were, a neat stack of Creating Keepsakes :) We snapped a few shots in the store and brought a copy out to Chili’s where we celebrated my first official paper magazine publication- a day I have anxiously awaited for a while!
Thanks to all of you who have supported and cheered me on, I appreciate each and every one of you!!

Okay so I’m really a sap! I totally got weepy reading this! I’m so happy for you! I know we have never met but I do think of you as a friend. In fact when you mentioned getting pub’d on facebook I totally squealed with delight! When the hubs asked me about it I told him “my friend Jocsie just got published!”
Even he was excited. :)
Can’t wait to see it Joscie! I am looking forward to the same fun experience with the May issue :)!

If I were in your shoe, I probably would’ve bought every single CK magazine in the rack and framed at least one. How fun! Your kid must feel like a celebrity now, being in a magazine!!!
I haven’t received mine in the mail yet, but I will definitely look for yours when I see it. If I only lived close (I’m in CA), I would probably get you to autograph it.

I was hoping to open my mailbox today and find my February CK, but no such luck. I never get mine early. Congrats on your first publication. I’m sure it will be the first of many!
Evelyn, I kinda wanted to buy the whole stack! Isn’t that funny?! I only bought one copy, and I am expecting my regular subscription one in the mail and two from CK. :) and I do feel special, but not a celebrity :)

How fun! When I saw my stuff actually published I actually found that the little name in black type under my project got me even more excited than seeing my project! Oh…and don’t be surprised if your dear family members ask you to sign their copies! LOL! Congratulations!
