I noticed a few days ago while I was on facebook that I could not see other peoples pictures. If I clicked from my “wall” it would take forever to load and I would inevitably give up. In desperation, I removed all the applications that I had previously allowed (except flair and scramble) because those are my very favorite two! Unfortunately that did not help me. I asked Troy to check it out on his laptop, and he had no problem whatsoever signing into my account and clicking on whatever. So I decided to go on a google hunt and figured that I may have some Mal-Ware on my computer. I downloaded a scanner from Microsoft and started it last night around 7pm. When I headed upstairs at 8:30ish the scan was at 10% progress. This morning at 6:22am the scan is at 66%. I am hoping it will finish soon and I’ll be able to repair or remove any troublesome issues.
What I really want to share with you friends… I brought home my Mom’s Mac Book Pro on Thanksgiving night so I could copy a few pictures that I lost when we moved here last year. I joked with her as we left, Mom, do you have a bag for my new computer? ha ha, here’s a bag. Oh my goodness. if you, like me, have been living in the stone ages with a PC… Let me share with you about this beautiful computer. It is so pretty. The screen is absolutely beautiful. It’s smooth like glass and the images are even prettier than on my huge 20something inch HannSpree monitor. I spent a few minutes looking at my blog, pictures and galleries last night on this laptop, telling Troy all the time, oooh, look how much prettier that looks like here! Mom also has a wireless laser mouse. It’s from Logitech with a super awesome scroll wheel! I LOVE IT! Can I share another cool feature I found this morning? When I came down to my scrapbooking room, I turned the laptop back on, but did not turn on any lamps or other lights. The Keyboard was automatically backlit, and the screen was dimmer. I thought wow, that’s cool, how do I turn the screen brighter? I turned on the lamp to look at something, and it automatically adjusted! How stinkin’ cool is that?! oh my goodness, I believe I am in love with this MacBookPro!!
Okay here are a few things that confused me, but I am quickly figuring out… I love that the command key is like the ctrl key, and I can still use my favorite keyboard shortcuts, like cmd c, cmd v, cmd w… I usually use firefox and browse in tabs, so it is a bit frustrating not being able to use cmd t to open a new tab… and why is it that delete is a backspace key?! crazy. but other than that… I am totally wanting this laptop (and I’d have to have external drives and other software, but wow. how cool.
***edited to add, I have at least figured out that if I hit refresh the facebook items will show up.
Yesterday in celebration of Black Friday, we avoided the shopping areas like the plague and headed out for a day at the zoo. OH my what a beautiful day! The parking lot was open and we got a great parking spot right away. It was not too hot and not crowded. Just the way I like it! The first exhibit is the elephants. They were both eating, so Jordan wanted to have a little snack too… and as I waited for Jordan to eat his snack, one of the elephants decided to come check me out! I got some really great shots!
OOGWAY from Kung Fu Panda Fame! :)
Rusty the Orangutan…
the hippos were playing with a huge ball, right in front of us!!
the chimps were running wild through their enclosure!
this peacock came walking up to us… and thankfully right by us (and not pecking us!)
my cuties… Jalen :)
Jordan… :) Look Lala, he’s wearing the hat you sent me!
We also took a drive up the beautiful Nuuanu Pali Drive.. I got out to snap a shot of this bridge…
and the view of Kaneohe from the Pali Lookout. with my 17-55, wishing for a 10-20 lens… It was still beautiful. :) This is where I grew up!
The Iron Bowl is on right now, and Alabama is spanking Auburn 29-0 so far. Troy is happily watching the game on the little tv in my scrap space! :) I hope you’re all doing well out there! Scroll down to the next blog post for a new paper layout….

Troy and I are very happy right now! I am visiting with dh’s family and his sis and her dh just went to Hawaii…we saw 400 of their pics! Why can’t you open a new tab on the MB using command>T? Also, function>delete makes the delete key delete.
