I got some new Halloween Goodies from Miss Mint yesterday and was able to whip up a few quick hybrid Halloween Cards for the boys and Troy too… bet you’ll never guess which one is for him? ha ha.
I absolutely love those monsters and the curvy label. LOVE that you can customize the labels by filling in colors of your choice! So much fun! all items can be purchased in a bundle: Halloween Grab Bag
Did you know it’s Digital Scrapbooking Day?! Miss Mint has a sale going on:

The boys dressed up as Jedi this year. Jalen was Obi-Wan and Jordan Yoda… of course this is not the very best shot, but now you know, I have to save that for a layout…
We had the best trick or treating experience so far. It was a cool night (75ish maybe?) No rain. We brought a wagon for when Jordan was tired, bottles of water for all of us and a nice walk. The only slight casualty was when Jalen tripped/fell down a step. He scraped up the knee of his costume, but he was okay. Lots of fun. Can I say, I was a little disappointed. NOT ONE reeses peanut butter cup in the bags… I’m going to have to break down and buy some.
I got a super sweet surprise earlier this week from my pal Chrispea. She sent me a little box of fall leaves! Such a super sweet gesture as all our leaves are green all year round in Hawaii. She also included cookie cutters in fall shapes * I LOOVE cookie cutters! * and some coffee and a candy spoon to stir in the coffee. Oh yeah, and mixed up candy corn. I LOVE candy corn. I swear that I have met the nicest fellow scrapbookers and friends in the past few years over the internet. *ps, don’t tell the dept of agriculture, I don’t want to get in trouble!
We carved our pumpkins earlier in the week. moldy yuck. next year for sure, we’re carving on the night before. Jordan drew his jack-o-lantern face on with a sharpie and Troy carved it. Jalen drew his and we carved it together. I did the one in the middle. I went back after this picture and carved away the outer skin of the face and made lips and cut a hole in the middle of the smile for teeth and can’t believe I didn’t take a picture before it got moldy.
Granny and Pop are visiting from Alabama…. The boys are loving it!
They are going to be here for the next two weeks, so I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to post…. I’ll try my best. Tomorrow there is a Scrapbook expo at the blaisdell center, so i might head down for that…. we’ll see.
I was also tagged by my pal Chrispea.
7 random things about me:
I love maui style potato chips (and sea salt and vinegar chips too)- kettle chips. yummy.
I am the only girl in my household (me and my hubby and our two sons)
I was the only girl growing up (me and my brother and two step brothers)
I want to start doing family/children photography
I was a copy reader for the high school newspaper. Typos and misspelled words and poor grammar stick out like a sore thumb. Once I started chatting/twittering/blogging/posting on message boards… I became the world’s laziest typer ever.
I just recently caved to peer pressure and signed up for facebook. I like how it’s so much easier to find people you know.
If a company I am considering doing business with has a crappy website, it reflects poorly on the business and I might be less likely to use them.
If you would like to share your 7 random facts, consider yourself tagged! Leave me a comment to let me know you’re doing it! :)
I hope you’re all safe and sound! Sending lots of love your way, Blog you later, Joscie * rhymes with bossy.

great pics, as always. I am so jealous of those people who get pretty fall scenery this time of year. Here in north Texas, we don’t get much, either. DD went to Missouri on her honeymoon last week and saw lots of pretty stuff. Can’t wait to see her pictures.
Your boys look even cuter than usual in those costumes!
I made Flat Joscie a costume. hehee.
Oops… the thought did cross my mind… but I sent them anyway!! I’m so glad they retained their color! I knew you spent a bit of time in Maine, and thought you might miss the pretty colors. xoxox
Yeah, that’s why we don’t carve them here, it’s just too daggum HOT!!! Speeds up the decomposing process! YUCK! Can’t wait to see the Halloween LO of the boys!!
Oh…those Star Wars costumes are adorable & I love how those pumpkins turned out. We don’t do Halloween though…but it is amazing to see how much effort you guys over the seas go to…like your fabulous pumpkins…they really look spooky & cute at the same time :o)
What great news to hear your Mom & Dad in-law are with you (shhh! but I see some serious date nights happening while they are with you :o)
I think what your buddy Chrispea did for you was so sweet & thoughtful & the leaves arrived in perfect condition…WOW! that’s USA postal service for ya.
Thanks for the great newsy post…it was great to catch up.
Hugs all round.
