early out days.  WHAT?  Most kids get out of school early on Wednesdays, teachers have meetings and parents scurry to pick up their kids at lunch time.  At our school the grades are released at staggered times which is good for traffic flow, but a pain in the booty when you have a preschool pickup at 11:30 and a third grade pick up at 12:15.  My solution?  a back seat picnic.  We have a grand caravan with back seats that fold into the floorboard and create an almost perfect area to picnic.  Last week Troy, Jordan and I picnicked in the back and I mentioned how it would be nice to have cushions back there to pad “back there” hee hee.  So this morning, I carried a quilt and a few pillows out to the van, a few books and packed up sandwiches, weep sins, apple sauce and some drinks for lunch.  I don’t buy juice boxes, I mix up drink mix *propel or water out of the cooler or soda out of a two liter bottle* and each person gets a drink to themselves.  So after picking Jordan up and parking the car in the far parking lot we were getting our picnic set up in the car.  I say to him, be careful with that drink, Mom does not want you to spill it… and I promptly spilled his almost full drink. what a bumble head.  anyway, we had paper towels to clean up the mess and enjoyed our lunch in the car while waiting for Jalen.  Next week I’ll have to get a spot in the shade, it was a bit hot today.  Right now, Jordan is napping, Jalen is working on his homework and I am blogging while I should be getting scrappy.  I can’t wait to watch Project Runway tonight! I am going to get my scrap on right now and try to come back with something awesome later. :)
