she said from her computer chair… The great mint reveal went down yesterday with scrappers in a frenzy trying to guess which avatar represented the real Miss Mint. She revealed her super cute face and her name and we all had a great time guessing. The site is a beautiful brown and pink and I just love it. love the new logo, love the new forum, love it all. The store has been up and down with the surge of activity over there. I’m sure there have been several freak out moments. I know Miss Mint is doing all she can to get everything working. The Newest goodies are superb! There are many super awesome giveaways (that I am not eligible to win…) so come check it out! the forum the gallery the store
Yesterday the mail man brought us each a post card from Dad. When he flew out of here, he flew to Thailand and a driver picked him and up and took him to the ship. He was sweet enough to send us postcards :)
I got a call yesterday from their last port and glad to hear that he’s getting settled in to the groove of the ship and they are still making their way back home. We are still coveting prayers for safe travel home.
I have not made enough of an effort to get back to my paper scrap in a few days. I am so sad, and missing it… even though it’s just an arm’s length away… I have been chatting on the Peppermint Creative forum and reading scrappy blogs. I really need to get back to my paper. it makes me so happy. digi makes me happy too, but I like to take turns doing both. and it’s time for paper :)
OH, Thursday is a field trip with Jalen’s class to a recycling fair! I am excited because I love to spend time with Jalen one on one. okay, so other kids will be there, but at least he won’t be battling with Jordan for attention. I am trying to figure out how to get some more one on one time with Jalen… It’ll be easier when Troy gets home…
and one more thing…. you ever freak out thinking it’s later than it actually is? yeah, I didn’t think so. I am a special kinda goober that way. Today I was drying my hair and getting dressed… and I glanced at the clock… 10:10am… I started rushing around, grabbing my keys, got in the car and got to the end of the street and realized. it was a whole hour before I had to go to pick Jordan up. So i came home, packed up a lunch for him and a salad for me, grabbed a blanket and packed it in the car. I thought, it’s a beautiful day out, why don’t we have a picnic outside? So after picking him up from school at the correct time, I headed down to “the path”. It’s an area next to the water with picnic tables and people jog and ride bikes down there… we had a nice lunch outside. :)

Yeah, well, you’re not the only “goober!” I do that at least once a week!!! LOL Glad ya’ll had a good lunch and there were no “mishaps!” ;-)
Prayers for Troy and his crew on a safe, uneventful return!
Hi Joscie! Love the bento! I haven’t done digi in forever, which is funny because last year that’s all I did. I think it’s nice to get away from the computer and get your hands dirty and make a mess! Sounds like you had a fun day!!
I loved reading all the news…great post! I chuckled at you rushing out only to find it was too early…heehee! we have all done sometime or another. Sounds like you had a lovely picnic time together anyways.
Great that you have had post cards from Troy…total silence would have been awful….& fab news that he is on his way home, Yay! you must be thrilled :o)

Love the postcards, esp. the taxi one. They’re so little.
I think it’s sweet you have picnics with Jordan; it sounds fun and makes me want to do it with my kids!
Have fun on your field trip with Jalen!
I’m going thru scrappy withdrawal as well with my inlaws visiting…must scrap soon :)
Those postcards are so beautiful, very inspirational…I could totally design a layout around them!!!
Woohoo, another paper+digi lover! Great picnic photos…they will make a fun page!
What lovely postcards. That blanket is so pretty….did you make it? Lunch looks like the post on my friend Sylvia’s blog!
I do it all the time! You are in very good company…if I do say so myself! :D
The postcards are so lovely.
Yeah, I need to get out some paper too. And lunch looks yummy.
