Today was the first free day we’ve had in a long time… so when my mom called this morning, we planned to get together for a little lunch.  We all got dressed and headed over (through) the mountain to Kaneohe to pick up my mom.  We hit fabric mart (she’s making hula skirts for my nieces) and I got some cute colored eyelet trim.  Then we headed to the district park to see my nephew play football.  I get out my camera with the zoom all set to get some cute shots of him in his uniform with the name on the back… what the? hello. no cf card. I hate when I do that. bonehead.  so I didn’t get the great shot of him standing next to his teammates. I didn’t get the shot of him looking so slim and healthy. I didn’t get the beautiful shot of the Koolau mountains in the background… I didn’t get shots of Jordan, the three year old, begging to “play that game”.  when I explained that he was too little, he wasn’t buying it, so i told him he needed a uniform with pads and a helmet to play. So then came the “excuse me, i want a uniform”  the boys enjoyed shave ice from the consession stand and he also commented, “can we get more shaving ice?”  we also saw my cousin Kenneth and his older son Trevor who were there to watch his younger son Kapu who was playing on the “other team”.  Aunty fave/gram was there too, so we had a nice little visit before the game finished.  We hit the mall (ihop) for lunch which was a big hit. pancakes and crepes, big yummies! we cruised around windward mall, hitting the borders and play areas and the cookie corner before finally calling it a day.

here are a few lame camera phone shots…my nephew is #55 :)

I so know what you mean about the card.
My family recently went to see our favorite team play in Milwaukee. Remembered to take the camera, but forgot to make sure the card was there. We too got a couple of lame photos, but had a great experience. AND our team won!
