I have not fallen off the end of the earth!

It has been a long time since I last blogged.  Troy has been off and we have been taking the mornings while both boys are at school and goofing off.  One day to Waikele *hello, Old Navy* one day to the NEX, one day to run other errands… it has been nice to spend time hanging out before he heads over the horizon for a little bit.

Today was another opportunity for a big fat day of family fun.  We planned to hit the Children’s Discovery Center this morning, but pulled up to the mostly empty parking lot to see it was closed.  we were slightly disappointed, but decided to just drive around the south side and get some pictures.  The waves were pretty decent size today, from Honolulu, through Waikiki, Diamond Head and all the way to Sandy’s.  We hit the waikiki aquarium again.  It was a fun time.  We also drove through the blow hole and other lookouts around the coast.  We had a great time and just got home a little while ago.

Last night was an open house at the boys’ school.  Troy took Jalen to see the third grade things and I took Jordan to see the preschool things.  Armed with a tray of mini cupcakes, my 40d and my flip video, we were the first ones on the scene.  The night went well, no tears, no bug bites and a pretty decent snack/dinner with all our new school friends.

    Isn’t it great to just have some time to yourselves w/o the kiddos, even if it is to run a few errands? My DH and I did that after my return from evacuating. Needed some items. Left the kids. {they’re old enough to be by selves} Hope you enjoyed your day. ;-)

    Hi there J…I’ve missed your blogging so much…but time with your bloke is FAR more important!! It sounds like you have been having great fun together…even if just the usual errands. T & I do it too on odd occasions during the week, when he isn’t so busy.

    I miss my regular armchair tour of your beautiful island :o)
    Loves to you all.

    I know this seems random, but…
    My parents are going to Hawaii in December for their 50th wedding anniversary. I think they will be staying at Kaneohe Bay (my dad is retired Navy). Would you consider emailing a list of places you think they should go/visit/see? The main catalyst behind Hawaii as the destination is that my dad wants to see the USS Arizona (They were always stationed on the east coast and never got the chance). Mom is arranging the trip, but I would like to add on something special as a gift from my family…
    Take care,
    Melinda

    Hi, Joscie! You’ve been quite busy since I last visited! I love your POTD pics of your kids, and the one of Troy making a b-day card is priceless! I hope you’re having a great week. I miss you! {{HUGS}}
