First of all I want to thank you all for being the most supportive, positive, caring people in the universe. I am feeling much much better and ready to take on the next scrappy challenges. I am sending out submissions for page calls as I can get them done among other things. I am also hoarding some of my recent pictures until I can figure out what I’m scrapping and what I’m not…. Thank you for being so understanding!
I have been going to the gym this week and actually got in a little jogging with my walking on the tread mill. I feel great and full of energy. Troy is transferring from his shore command tomorrow and finding out when he’s going to report to a ship. I need to find out from him what kind of information is appropriate to share and what is not…. I surely am not going to be the one to put out information that could put him and his shipmates in harm’s way. Please keep our little family in your prayers as transitions can sometimes be stressful, especially on the little ones who have grown accustomed to having us both around all the time.
Jalen’s school had a mini olympic event yesterday. It was just the cutest idea ever. Each student was assigned a country and event to compete. Jalen was Jamaica and made the cutest Jamaican Flag. He competed in the long jump and beat out his competitor by a few inches, earning a gold medal. I kept calling him my gold medal olympian at home, I think he got a good laugh out of it! One other bit of exciting news I got from his teacher today… They did a reading assesment and my third grader is reading at a 7th grade level. I am so proud of him! We are now working on improving his writing skills.
FInally, I am so thankful for these kind award nominations and feel bad that it’s taken such a long time to get these posted!

I saw this on Jingle’s blog… I had to laugh at it because I love courier new and I just used it to add my name to my photo walk photos. :)
You Are Courier New |
![]() You have a deep appreciation for tradition and history. You don’t eschew modernity, but you do have a deep reverence for the past. You are very literate. It’s likely you enjoy writing and reading. |
Blog you later!
