Back to school Shopping…

July 23rd, 2008 · 8 Comments · Photography, scrapbook

Both boys are heading off to school this year.  Orientation is on Friday where we’ll meet Jordan’s new friends and his Pre-School teacher and Jalen will see the set up in his combined 2nd-3rd grade class.  Before we could jump into the school routine, both boys needed new shoes and Jordan needed a bunch of new shorts for school.  We tried Old Navy Last week, but they didn’t have any pull up/down no button shorts for toddlers.  HELLO?  Preschoolers need to handle their independent business in the restroom.  Anyway, we had great luck today. Got two pairs of shoes, Jordan’s even light up.  We tried Carters, OSH KOSH and finally had success at the Children’s Place.  Can I just say… 6 pair of walking shorts, 2 pair of athletic shorts, 1 pair of swim shorts, and 2 polo shirts for $35!  What a great deal!  We also discovered a “new” store at Waikele called Steve and Barry’s.  Cool, affordable stuff.  But since I’m not the one going back to school, no clothes for me today.

In cool scrappy news, Flat Joscie seems to have had a great time with the awesome Karla Dudley.  I spied her yesterday checking out Vee’s LV purse and today hanging out with a glass of wine.  I have seen lots and lots of great things from CHA, and I am really hoping to make it to one in the near future!

My Pictures of the Day: at old navy, I spotted this in the baby girl section. oh, the sweetness of the trim. wonder if that comes in my size. ha, as if it would still be cute. i. think. not. so i just enjoy it in miniature.

and just how cute are these polka dots.  if anyone saw me, they probably thought i was crazy. I don’t care. I couldn’t resist the polka dots. super. cute.

Do you remember the sunflower on the 17th?  this is how it looks now. :)

Tomorrow is Making Memories Day! :)  Don’t forget to check back for a project here, a project there and two chances to win a little something :)

love love, blog you later!

oh my god that sunflower photo is amazing! and i can’t blame you for taking the photo of the girl’s dress–as the mom of a son, i know how you feel! sometimes i look at the cute little dresses in the girls department–the styles are just so adorable these days.

How unusual to take the photo from the back side of the sunflower, but it’s gorgeous, crisp yellow against the bright blue sky! What a deal, Children’s Place must have a sale going on…too bad (I love looking at the new trendy kid stuff) we don’t NEED anything, we’ve been getting loads of hand-me-down from the older cousins and friends from church.

I loved the sunflower picture! Very nice shot. I will have to tell my dh that there is a Steve and Barry’s in Hawaii! He loves that store – and I would LOVE to go to Hawaii – so it sounds like a great reason to go. Do you think he will go for it? hehe. I also want to tell you I am extremely jealous of your bargain shopping. I never find deals like that. (Teenagers are so expensive!)
