Our Second Grade graduate… and waaay too many pictures.

May 23rd, 2008 · 13 Comments · Uncategorized

We went downtown this morning to buy lei for Jalen’s Graduation…I got this haku lei, Jalen and Jordan got crownflower lei, and we got lei for his teachers too…

Jalen’s class had their “graduation” ceremony today although they still have another week of school. The class sang and danced to a super cute song “Local to the max” (translation: really really local). Jalen was in the middle of the stage (no surprise there) and did really well.

remember those flowers I bought at Sams this week? They are blooming and looking sooo pretty! We took a quick trip to Walmart the other day and found this funny Bat Man Mask… Jordan didn’t love it, but obliged for the picture. it was almost as cute as the basket. That Kid loves to put things on his head.

I am so excited that our cucumber plant has flowers on it! :)
I had such a great mail day yesterday! I got a card from South Africa from KJ! and some cute die cuts! I love it! :)
and on the same day I got a RAK from Jessica… this cute stamp! (How much I love Hula Dancers, even though I am not a hula dancer) and these packages of cute plastic goodness also known as skittles.
and From my friend Happy Scrappy Sam:

some stamps, super cute cardstock stickers, Noteworthy die cuts, a magnetic notepad, brads and buttons… :) These ladies know me so well! :)
OKAY, so I don’t buy guns for my boys, but they pick up toys and pretend they are guns. This is a Mr. Potato Head fire extinguisher and Troy is teaching him the proper way to look around the corner and clear the room.

WOW, did you make it this far? Thanks! I hope you are all having a great weekend!

I agree with Liz, never too many photos when they are this nice and interesting. Love the pics of the ceremony. My son has the same batman mask and it is cute. Love the florals and blooming plant. Isn’t a pleasant surprise to get happy mail. ;)

First off…the music on your blog is GORGEOUS. I’m only on the first song and I’m in love. LOL! Did I tell you I’m coming to visit you? LOL! Someday, I will go to Hawaii. That’s my goal at least. Anyway, I loved your photos! The last one is priceless and must be scrapped, you know! Anakin is finishing up 2nd grade too. I bet our boys would have a blast together! LOL! And now that I’ve written a book…sorry!

While I don’t comment, I visit and enjoy your blog daily. I was interested to see that your son had a ceremony for completing the 2nd grade. I was wondering why? (I hope that doesn’t sound mean, I don’t mean it to be) Is he going to a different school? I’m sure I am missing something.

I’ve got a daughter who just finished preschool and a daughter who is finishing up 1st grade. So far I’ve not had ANY type of “ceremony” to attend-graduating preschool or kindergarten, I guess they don’t do that at the schools we attend. I’m okay with it, but it made a second grade graduation more interesting to me.

Thanks for always sharing such great adventures and pictures!!
