email me your addresses and I will get some goodies out to you in the mail! :)

Okay, So I know I told you all I was heading downtown to see the statue decked in lei. My mistake, they put lei on the statue for his King Kamehameha Day, not May Day. I snapped a picture while Troy drove down the street.

My spy for this week, I spy with my little eye something new! :)

Here is my new toy, the Paper Gator: I got it from Stamps and Memories, my favorite LSS. It came with 4 different blades and I love it. It barely takes any effort to cut through chipboard, stacks of paper… Yippee! It’s from Around the Block.

I rounded the corner on this chipboard piece for practice! cuts through like buttah baby!
OH something else I wanted to share… I posted a picture of Jordan’s art as a POTD a while back and thought I’d make a little thing about art from our fridge… so without further ado:

We celebrated NSD with a trip to a local craft and local food fair today. It was at the Neal Blaisdell Center. I didn’t buy anything, but it was a decent time. I saw a few items I really liked. the rest was not really what I was looking for. But, since we got in and out so quickly we still had time to hit http://www.bishopmuseum.org/special/mamo2008.html Bishop Museum today. THis was my POTD for today, aren’t they beautiful wooden bowls?! I love it!

here was another bowl by the same artist…my favorite flower Pua Keni Keni
the volcano exhibit inside the bishop musem science center…
a beautiful detail on the front of one of the buildings there…
jordan got to do some crafting…
MY POTD for yesterday, a water tower near Troy’s work place on Ford Island.

Jordan showing off his little paper octopus from Taco Bell…the portrait he and Jalen drew of me…

and that catches me up on all the POTDs. there is a POTD for May at AMR, CKMB, and the Spraground too… :) It is so much fun to capture daily events…. I need to upload the pics and order more from snap fish and get working on my POTD album again.

Have any of you had a chance to watch “carrier” on pbs lately? THat was the last deployment Troy was on. He wasn’t on the carrier, but on a destroyer in that battle group. We watched it last week on our pbs channel. It was really good. so true. so important for others to see. Try and catch it if you can.

I was inspired by a lady called craftpudding on etsy to try my hand at carving some stamps. I made my first and it was fun! I will share soon with you my hand carved stamps, my paper gator projects and those atc cards that I was supposed to mail out to kimmy for my Concroption atc trade. oh, and by the way, the concroption 40% off sale is still going on… check it out! :)

Peppermint Creative is having a POST NSD sale. 30% off all month long, new products and it starts on May 7.

Stampin’ Up! has a current sale of 25% off all chipboard letters, shapes, clipboards… and buy a cutting mat get a knife and blade free. (let me know if you are interested)

The Digital Artist Magazine is available for purchase by single issues or by subscription and either way comes with a free digi kit. I will share that project in July.

So, I think that is about it for now… Jalen is going with Dad to a Birthday Party soap box race event tomorrow and Jordan and I will go to church and then come home to hang out…. I hope you are all doing well, Love to all of you, Blog ya later!

Hey girl! I’ve been carving blocks for a while now. This gal has one of the best sites for info and instruction. also…if you want a set of small carving tools that fit on a pen base like ‘nibs’ (excellent for carving eraser-type materials…like buttah! and cheap!)…I’ll be glad to send you a set. I’m heading out next weekend to join my ArtFest groupies and will pick-up carving supplies.
Be proud of your NSD projects…nice work!
