to stimulate the economy. Have you? You may remember a few weeks ago we mourned the loss of our million pound 27″sony trinitron 12 + year old tv? Well as of today, we are the owners of a 37″ visio hd lcd tv. we picked up the hd cable box this afternoon and have been enjoying the bigger tv.
BUT wait, that’s not all. we decided to stop off at Best Buy on the way home from Sam’s Club, and check out the monitors and to see if they had any wiis in stock. No Wii at Best Buy, but they did have a sleek pretty 22″ monitor that came home with us. This is the first new monitor I have had since our very first computer probably 11 years or so ago. I just checked the old old one, manufactured in May 1997. Yep, I have upgraded computers but always seemed to find the ones not sold with a monitor. a few years ago, Troy rescued a monitor that was being discarded and brought it home to me. I was happy to have it, but the color never was quite right. Some of the darker colors had a greenish tinge to them. BUT no more. YAY!
And finally doing our part for the country, on our way to pick Jalen up from School this afternoon, we figured we had just enough time to stop off at Game Stop on a Wii check… and they had one just for us!!! after getting all the parts and pieces that we needed, we picked Jalen up from school about 15 minutes early so we could go home and open everything up and play!
You may remember we have been wanting to get wii for a while now: http://www.cutchens.com/2008/02/another-good-day.html

Possibly the most fun was creating all of our Miis. these are the “players” that you create to represent you, in your likeness or however you like. OH my goodness, I could do it all day long, it was so fun! I don’t know how to capture our miis to upload here just yet, but I will be working on that. We played bowling and even jordan played a little bit. then the boys took their turns playing baseball.

My picture of the day is also my Ispy something expensive. although any of the goodies we brought home today fits the same bill! This is a shot of the Navy Gas Station. the same one that was 3.50 a gallon last week.
My picture of the day for today is the thing wii’ve been waiting for! :)
On the CKMB Recap, erin mentioned flat Joscie’s picture with the Jugg sisters in Nashville… :)
and lastly, my latest layout to share, for the OLW Challenge: GROW
the journaling comes straight from my blog entry on Aug 16, 2007 after we had been in this house for 16 days :)
I am not quite sure why I am obsessed with taking pictures of the grass. I have been taking pictures since they seeded… I guess I was thinking I would do a layout of something marking the progress… but it’s something a bit more than that. I think I am really excited about something that is making progress all on it’s own. I don’t have to feed it, unwrap it, unpack it, move it to the ‘right’ spot in the house (where ever that is)… I just have to go outside and look at it.
Papers, calendar (flower and hearts) stamps by Stampin’ Up! chipboard letters Scenic Route, buttons favorite findings, jolees green stems, helix pigment journaler, Making Memories flowers.
and really the last thing is this, my camera rolled over again. now over 20,000 pictures! Hope you are all having a great long weekend, and THANKS so much for visiting my blog! blog you later peeps! :)

Congrats on the new goodies! With the TV be careful with the video games that you don’t get screen burn..I don’t know if it is the same with LCD’s as with Plasma but just a warning don’t want your new tv to get ruined!

Hi there!
My husband “bought a Wii for my daughter” for her birthday . . . it was really more for him, although she loves it too, and I’m about to buy Wii Fit when it comes out. I enjoy playing the sports games!
Our Miis are Momwii, Dadwii, Baiwii (my daughter is Bailey), and Jacob Henwii for our son, Jacob Henry, when he’s old enough to play. We had a blast putting our Miis together.
