water park

water park… or so Jordan calls every body of water, no matter how small. his logic, I believe is if it can hold my body and it’s not the batttt(bath) then it’s a water park.

I filled up the new inflatable pool yesterday and set it out on the new mats we got from sams… and filled it up. right there on the driveway. now normally, i wouldn’t set it out on the driveway, but since there is no sun on the lanai, and we can’t really get out there in the grass…the driveway seemed like the only spot. I have been waiting to set this thing up… can’t do it on a school day because jalen has homework that usually lasts until bath or dinner time… and we just hadn’t had any time til sunday after church. so she looked beautiful out there on the driveway… it was a little over cast … so when Jordan woke up from his nap, we ran out to home depot to buy some plants with the promise that when we got home, we’d change and play in the P-O-O-L. so of course jordan starts saying P-O-O-L… which is a crack up to me.

fast forward to we have all our suits on and we head out front… it starts drizzling and I say wait, I have to take a picture first… and jale with his goggles on… jumps in the pool, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! It’s Freeeeezing! Jordan climbed in, got his face wet, stood up (i am sure in thermal shock) and cried a little bit then went about playing. I stuck my foot in… okay kids, pool’s closed. that is too cold. let’s play in the bath! (jordan was not interested in getting out of the water park) Jordan it’s a pool, swimming pool! so he continued whining, but atleast it was an accurate protest… I got them in the bath and they played happily… oh, and we got back in the car to get some finger lickin good dinner at KFC! Jordan wanted a chicken hammermer! sorry son, here’s a drumstick and a biscuit.
